"Forgotten Faces (Outside)" was scratched in a notepad after the first winter of isolation and laments daydreaming and missing those whose faces you struggle to picture, blending doses of 90's alt-rock, blues-based grooves, and upbeat prog with clean and heavily distorted guitars, Bonham-like drums, and a vocal performance reminiscent of Caleb Followill (Kings of Leon).
lyrics
Practice esotericism, no longer speak
Eroticism can only go up from here
Cat speaks instead of me, too many dead
I miss the waves, I miss the stares
And the clever non-sequiturs we exchange
Running late to the thing that’s later, never, never mind
(Just close your eyes)
Forgotten faces in your mind
(You’re stuck inside)
I’d cry all the time if my eyes weren’t dry
From all the sand you’ve been shelling out, outside
Lost freaks, enlightening when not so bored
I miss your breath, I miss your face
And the clever non-sequiturs we exchange
Running late to the thing that’s later, never, never mind
(Just close your eyes)
Forgotten faces in your mind
(You’re stuck inside)
No longer consumed by death, feels too real
No longer an idea, maybe I’m finally scared?
Maybe I’m starting to care?
Maybe you are more important than a self-absorbed imaginary life that goes on inside
Maybe, just maybe, if I could cut off control
Of the outside
Running late to the thing that’s later, never, never mind
(Just close your eyes)
Forgotten faces in your mind
(You’re stuck inside)
In your mind you’re lost inside
Faceless faces stuck outside
Daydreaming to run and hide
Forgotten faces in your mind
No longer consumed by anything, really
No longer consumed
Pictures of blurs
Pictures of a maniac who can’t sleep, can’t read, can’t hear,
can’t see beyond the cracks in the street
Outside. Outside. Outside. Outside. Outside!

Hi, I’m Andy, I make rock music in my home studio whenever time allows. I’m a child of the eighties, learned guitar in the
nineties, mimicked the writing of indie rock in the early aughts, and have been winging it ever since. I have a DIY attitude and philosophy to make what I want to hear, do best with what I’ve got and treat each song as a time capsule....more
